We're a small shop that covers for each other
Sunny Creek Trading Post is a farm hub in Ponca City. We sell what around sixty local growers and makers bring in, and on any given day that means stocking shelves, weighing produce, running the till, talking to the regulars, and cleaning up after all of it.
What we're actually like
Nobody works alone here.The shop is small enough that what you don't finish becomes somebody else's afternoon. The people who do well are the ones who notice that and act on it — who fill the gap without being asked and without making a thing of it.
Nobody is going to hand you a list. There is always something that needs doing and usually nobody standing over you telling you what it is. If you need to be given tasks to stay busy, this will be an uncomfortable job. If you would rather see what needs doing and get on with it, you'll fit.
We'd rather talk it out than have it done twice. You will disagree with somebody about the right way to do something. We want people who say so, listen to the answer, and then get behind whatever gets decided — not people who go quiet and do it their own way anyway.
It's a farm hub, so it's physical. Boxes, produce, coolers, your feet. Some of it is early and some of it is Saturdays.
